FALLWINTER Campaign
a brutalistic play of textures and reflections
The backdrop was a conscious choice of Brutalist geometry. We sought out locations defined by massive concrete structures, corrugated silver silos, and endless chain-link fences. These reflective, metallic surfaces acted as a natural light modifier, bouncing a cold, diffused glow onto the model. The environment isn't just a background; it’s a character—sterile, imposing, and indifferent.

The Aesthetic: A Study in Monochrome
We leaned heavily into a minimalist color palette. The charcoal tones of the zip-up hoodie and the faded black of the oversized trousers blend into the industrial surroundings, broken only by the sharp, aggressive pop of the red studded belt. It’s a visual anchor in a sea of grey and silver, drawing the eye to the silhouette’s center.

The Narrative: Cinema without Context
I wanted these images to feel like a "still" from a film we arrived at halfway through. The prop weapons were integrated not just as accessories, but as set design elements to heighthen the stakes.
There is a deliberate narrative ambiguity in the model’s performance. With a brutal, unwavering gaze, he challenges the viewer to fill in the blanks:
Where has he come from?
What is the source of that simmering hostility?
Why the weapons, and who is he waiting for?
By stripping away the context, we created a sense of "in medias res"—dropping the audience into the middle of a story where the only certainty is the grit and the gear.
